Beijing to get 44 more weekly express flights

SF Airlines applied for thirty more weekly flights to Beijing.

SF Airlines applied for thirty more weekly flights to Beijing.

Two of China’s major express companies have applied for more flights to/from Beijing. And not just one or two more, but almost seven more every day.

  • According to a report in the China Aviation Daily, YTO Express Airlines, the recently-launched air arm of Shanghai-based YTO Express, applied to the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) for fourteen weekly round trip flights between Beijing and its hub in Hangzhou.
  • SF Airlines, the air arm of Shenzhen-based SF Express, has been in operation much longer than YTO Express Airlines, and has a much bigger fleet, so no surprise that it has applied for many more flights to and from Beijing – 14 weekly round trips to/from Wuxi, ten weekly round trips to/from Shenzhen and six weekly to/from Hangzhou.

Just more evidence (as if any was needed) of the increasing demand for express delivery in China.
