本周在阿塞拜疆巴库举办的“里海航空货运高峰论坛”,阿塞拜疆航空总裁贾哈吉尔·阿斯加罗夫(Jahangir Asgarov)表示,除了阿塞拜疆航空订购了四架波音787飞机以外,阿塞拜疆的国有企业丝绸之路航空,还将再订购两架747- 8货机。阿斯加罗夫的言论被阿塞拜疆的媒体广泛引用“购买这些飞机的准备工作正在进行之中”,这些订购将于今年年底前完成。 货运航空(或丝绸之路西部航空),作为丝绸之路航空的货运分部,目前运营了五架波音747-8F和一架波音747-400F,其总部位于意大利的合资公司SW Italia航空,运营了两架波音747-400F。此外,丝绸之路货运航空还向总部位于俄罗斯的Sky Gates Cargo航空出租了两架波音747-400。
