All Nippon Airways reported cargo revenue up 15.2% to US$1.34 billion in its Fiscal Year 2013 (ended 31 March 2014). Cargo traffic for the year was up 16.4% to 3.41 billion RTKs.
The gains came almost entirely on the back of the carrier’s strong performance in the international market, where its revenue was up 21.0% to $1.03 billion and its traffic was up 19.0% to 2.94 billion RTKs. In the domestic Japan market, ANA’s cargo revenue was down 0.3% to $315 million despite a 2.8% increase in traffic to 473 million RTKs.
ANA operates a fleet of nine 767-300 freighters, and over the past several years has built a major regional overnight cargo business centered at its hub in Naha, at the southern tip of the Japanese archipelago on the island of Okinawa. The carrier recently acquired a tenth 767-300F (30842, ex-Florida West) and will put it into service soon [FAT 001539].Like This Post
