Titan Aviation Leasing and its joint venture with Bain Capital Credit, Titan Aircraft Investments, have developed a diverse portfolio of freighters.

Forbes was named CCO for Titan in 2021, and brings more than 16 years of aviation leasing, legal and finance experience to the company. He previously served as CCO of FPG Amentum, executive manager of marketing at Goshawk, and senior vice president of commercial negotiations at SMBC Aviation Capital.

Titan Aircraft Investments’ first aircraft was a production 777F it had acquired from Atlas in December 2020, and leased back to the group. Icelandair became a new Titan customer in March 2021, when a deal was reached for the sale, conversion and leaseback of two 767-300ERs.

While the first 767-300ER (28883) was still being prepped for conversion, the lessor entered the narrowbody freighter segment with its acquisition of three 757-200PCFs, which it placed on lease with Amerijet.

Titan revealed plans to diversify its portfolio with another Boeing freighter at Cargo Facts EMEA in February 2022, announcing it had acquired two 737-800s for conversion with AEI and placed them on lease to Georgian Airlines and ASL Aviation Holdings.

Cargo Facts Symposium 2023, taking place Oct. 25-27 at the Omni San Diego, is the essential event for stakeholders in the freighter and air cargo industry.
