Iarchy acquired a partnership stake in World Star in 2012. He also was a partner at Phoenix Corporate Finance for eighteen years, a director at Bear Stearns and vice president of Credit Suisse First Boston.

World Star joined a group of lessors that diversified their narrowbody freighter portfolios when it acquired its first A321-200 in 2022 for conversion with EFW.

World Star took redelivery of the first of ten 737-800BDSF conversions (34014, ex-Virgin Australia) in August 2023. The 2004-vintage aircraft had been painted in SpiceJet livery but does not appear to have joined the India-based carrier yet.

World Star remains active in the 737 Classic segment. The lessor added thirty 737-400 freighters to its portfolio in 2022 and sold a 737-300F to Georgia-based startup Gryphon Air in the first quarter of 2023.

Cargo Facts EMEA 2024 will provide attendees with an overview of the pivotal events that shaped the industry in the past year while analyzing market conditions, trends and new developments.
