Richard Broekman, senior vice president of global sales and commercial development at Atlas Air, has joined the Cargo Facts EMEA 2022 speaker faculty for a live panel on the lessor perspective at 10:00 am (GMT +4) on May 11.
Cargo Facts EMEA will take place live May 9-11 in Dubai for the first time. The event will bring together industry experts, offering access to emerging airfreight technology and providing solutions to challenges affecting today’s air cargo market.
Broekman joined Atlas in 2004 and assumed his current position in January 2018 after serving as vice president of global sales and commercial development from 2014–2017. He holds degrees in industrial engineering and management science from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands.
Atlas’ leasing arm, Titan Aviation, entered into a joint venture with Bain Capital Credit in late 2019. The new entity, Titan Aircraft Investments, added its first freighter in November 2020 when it acquired a 777F from Atlas.
The joint venture with Bain Capital Credit signed a deal with Icelandair Group for the sale, conversion and leaseback of two 767-300ERs. Icelandair recently confirmed to Cargo Facts that the two units (28883 and 26971) will be inducted for conversion around May.
During its most recent earnings call on Feb. 18, Atlas announced that its dry leasing revenue was $41.7 million in Q4 2021, a figure that was almost the same as the $41.6 million a year ago.
