Recent analysis conducted by Cargo Facts Consulting shows the average age at conversion trending upwards for both narrowbody and medium widebody conversions. On average narrowbody freighters (such as the 737 and 757) are being converted at ages of between 21 and 22 years and widebody freighters (such as the 767) at between 20 and 23 years. During the first decade of this century, the customary age for narrow-bodies was between 17 and 19 years, and 15 to 20 years for medium wide-body freighters.
