As we posted last week, Airbus is working on a new version of its well known Beluga — the supersized A300-600 the manufacturer uses to ferry subassemblies from one site to another. But the Beluga, and the 747LCF DreamLifter that Boeing uses for a similar purpose are not the first such freighters.
With most of the US preparing to enjoy a long weekend in celebration of its independence, and much of the rest of the world focusing on the Tour de France (which starts on the Fourth of July — Independence Day in the US), business won’t be on very many minds.
