Avianca Cargo is expanding its Airbus medium-widebody fleet and will add a total of four A330-300P2Fs and -200P2Fs between 2024 and 2025 to operate alongside its six A330-200Fs. The first A330-200 arrived this month at the Mobile Aerospace Engineering facility in Mobile, Ala. (BFM), for conversion.

While Avianca does not have plans to add other freighter types to its fleet, the airline did reach a deal with GlobalX for ACMI service and ad hoc charters using up to five A321Fs over the next five years.

Avianca Cargo appointed Elias as senior vice president this year. He has more than eight years of airline industry experience and previously served as sales and marketing director for LATAM.
