Empire Airlines’ Komberec joins Cargo Facts Symposium 2023
Empire Airlines Chairman and Chief Executive Tim Komberec will join Cargo Facts Symposium 2023 for the panel discussion: “Regional freighters in the spotlight” on Friday, Oct. 27, at 11:30 a.m. (GMT -5).
The 29th annual Cargo Facts Symposium will take place Oct. 25-27 at the Omni Hotel in San Diego, where industry leaders will gather to share their insights and provide analysis on developing market trends while providing an outlook on the air cargo industry in the Americas and around the world.

The FedEx feeder operator also commenced revenue flights from Anchorage (ANC) to Fairbanks (FAI) with its first ATR 72-600F in March 2022, and added a second later that year.
Empire acquired another West Coast FedEx feeder operator, Fresno, Ca.-based West Air, in January 2022, and added thirty-three more Cessna 208B aircraft to its fleet.
Komberec has more than twenty-three years of leadership experience at Empire Airlines. He also serves on the Regional Airline Association Executive Board of Directors as well as the Coeur d’Alene Airport Advisory Board.
Komberec previously worked for Boeing as a machinist before embarking on a career as an aviator, which led him to executive roles with American International Airways and Western Pacific Airlines.
