Betelhem Abel, cargo manager for the Gulf at Ethiopian Airlines, has joined the Cargo Facts EMEA 2022 speaker faculty for the panel “Air Cargo in the Gulf: The future of mega hubs and spokes” on Tuesday, May 10, at 9:15 a.m. (GMT +4).
Cargo Facts EMEA will take place live May 9-11 in Dubai for the first time. The event will bring together industry experts, offering access to emerging airfreight technology and providing solutions to challenges affecting today’s air cargo market.
Ethiopian recently completed the cargo door cutout on what will be its first 767-300BDSF at its own MRO facility in Addis Ababa (ADD). Ethiopian has also committed to Boeing’s new production freighter by signing a memorandum of understanding for five 777-8Fs and expects to add its first 737-800BCF to its fleet of three 737-800SFs in the coming days.
Abel was promoted to cargo manager for the Gulf in November of 2021. She joined Ethiopian Airlines in 2006 and has held a number of different positions at the airline, including supervisor of cargo export, manager of cargo imports and lead customer service agent.
