Mouaniss held other management roles in Etihad’s cargo division for more than four years before becoming the director of all commercial activity in Europe and the Americas. He served as cargo sales manager and traffic coordinator at Korean Air for nearly five years before joining the Etihad Group.

Etihad will modernize its fleet with A350Fs after placing an order for seven units in 2022 as part of its plans to reduce carbon emissions by 50% by 2035. For now, as a major combination carrier in the Middle East operating 777Fs, Etihad will look to maximize the efficiency of its cargo fleet while exploring growth opportunities, it said.

“Etihad Cargo has a positive outlook for 2024. Last year saw significant growth for pharma, e-commerce and electronics, and we expect this to continue,” Mouaniss told Cargo Facts. “Etihad Cargo will continue to seek out and strengthen partnerships to enhance our capabilities and capacity so we can remain the air cargo partner of choice.”

The sovereign airline was transferred to the purview of ADQ, the sovereign wealth fund, in October 2022.

Cargo Facts EMEA 2024 will provide attendees with an overview of the pivotal events that shaped the industry in the past year while analyzing market conditions, trends and new developments.
