Nippon Cargo Airlines’ (NCA) signed a deal with Tokyo-based All Nippon Airways (ANA) in July 2023 to transfer ownership of NCA to ANA. The parties expected to close the transaction last year but that is now slated for April. While both companies await regulatory approval to finalize the sale, the deal will make ANA one of the ten largest scheduled combination carriers globally by freighter fleet size.

NCA operates eight 747-8Fs and owns five 747-400Fs that are operated by Atlas Air and two more of the type that are flown by ASL Airlines Belgium.

Homma was appointed president and CEO in July 2023, after serving in multiple leadership roles at the carrier since 1987, two years after it began operations.

Other panelists joining the widebody discussion include Airbus Head of Freighter Marketing Crawford Hamilton, ATSG Chief Commercial Officer Paul Chase and Boeing Commercial Airplanes Director of Product Marketing John Perdoch.

Cargo Facts Asia will assemble industry leaders and executives to share their insight on the air cargo sector in the Asia-Pacific region while providing attendees a forum to engage with key decision-makers.
