De Man, who joined Turkish Airlines in 2020, has more than thirty years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, strategic marketing and sales. Previously, he had been a director at Broekman Logistics, vice president of global sales for DSV and vice president of UTi Worldwide.

Turkish Airlines provided a glimpse of its widebody freighter plans at the end of 2023, when it reached a deal with Airbus for five A350Fs with an option for five more of the type. The order is part of a deal with Airbus that includes additional orders and options for almost 100 passenger A350s and up to 250 A321neos.

The carrier hinted at its fleet modernization plans in September 2023 when it released an investor presentation saying it expects to double its freighter fleet over the next ten years as the airline aims to be among the top three carriers globally in air cargo traffic.

Meanwhile, Turkish Airlines’ MRO subsidiary, Turkish Technic, in late 2023 began providing touch labor for EFW’s A330P2F conversions.

Cargo Facts EMEA 2024 will provide attendees with an overview of the pivotal events that shaped the industry in the past year while analyzing market conditions, trends and new developments.
