Jon Olin, vice president of aviation, Americas, DHL Express, will join a panel discussion on the topic of freighter conversions at Cargo Facts Symposium 2021.
The session will look at operator demand and conversion slot availability for active programs as well as variables influencing long-term demand for passenger-to-freighter conversions.
Olin’s session, titled, “Playing the slots: Freighter conversions forecast,” will be presented live at 10:00 am on Wednesday, Oct. 27 at the Wynn Las Vegas.
DHL Express’ global fleet is diverse in terms of the aircraft types operated by its own carriers and partner operators, and the integrator has been an early adopter of new conversion types. DHL was the launch customer for EFW’s A330-300P2F program, and has also begun introducing both 737NG and A321-200 conversions.
Olin’s recent projects have included the launch of 767 operations at DHL Aero Expreso and other enhancements to DHL’s North America 767 network. He began his career with DHL in 1996 as staff counsel of DHL Airways, and has since served as chief administrative officer of Southern Air and SVP of Amerijet.
Olin joins panelists from Aeronautical Engineers Inc., Boeing and 321 Precision Conversions.
