Aleksey Matyushev, CEO and co-founder of Natilus, has joined the Cargo Facts EMEA 2022 speaker faculty for a live conversation on airfreight technology and innovation at 1:45 p.m. (GMT +4) on Tuesday, May 10.
Cargo Facts EMEA will take place live May 9-11 in Dubai for the first time. The event will bring together industry experts, offering access to emerging airfreight technology and providing solutions to challenges affecting today’s air cargo market.
Before founding Natilus, Matyushev He previously was the lead aerodynamicist at Piper Aircraft working on projects like the PiperJet Altaire and M600. Matyushev later joined Krao Defense and worked as an aerodynamics lead on UAV systems before becoming a consultant.
Natilus is designing a family of blended-wing-body autonomous freighter aircraft which will eventually include four different models ranging from 3.8 tonnes to 130 tonnes in capacity. The company aims to have its designs produce half the carbon emissions of traditional freighter aircraft.
Today Natilus claims more than $6 billion in advance purchase commitments and letters of intent (LOIs) from Volatus Aerospace, Flexport, Astral Aviation, Aurora and Dymond.
Matyushev has an aerospace engineering degree from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.
