SEATTLE – Three experienced aviation experts have joined Air Cargo Management Group as Senior Consultants, the company announced. The new Senior Consultants dramatically expand ACMG’s capabilities and geographic reach.
The new Senior Consultants are: Steven Verhasselt, Wim Kuit, and Norman Hecht.

Mr. Verhasselt is ACMG’s Senior Consultant, Asia Pacific. Based in Hong Kong, Mr. Verhasselt has an MBA from Ehsal Business School (Brussels). He has consulted to the aviation industry from Hong Kong since 2003. With a focus on Air Cargo, Mr Verhasselt has worked with a wide array of global aviation companies located in, among other places, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Dubai, and China. He will be involved in ACMG consulting in Asia-Pacific.
Mr. Kuit joins ACMG as its Senior Consultant, Europe. Mr. Kuit, who is based in The Netherlands, has worked for Panalpina World Transport, Kales Airline Services, Emery Worldwide, and most notably for TNT Airways, where he did two stints, most recently in the position of Commercial Manager. He has been involved in Air Cargo since 1968. As Senior Consultant for Europe, Mr. Kuit will work on ACMG consulting projects on the continent, as well as in the Middle East.
Norman Hecht joins ACMG as its Senior Consultant, Engines. Mr. Hecht recently left Pratt & Whitney after a 37-year career that had him working in several departments within the engine OEM, including sales, aftermarket maintenance, and strategic planning. Most recently, Mr. Hecht was General Manager, Sales and Integration at Pratt & Whitney, a role he filled for 12 years. In that capacity, he led several worldwide multi-million-dollar Pratt & Whitney and other OEM engine model engine maintenance sales campaigns, including the Power by the Hour concepts resulting in engine maintenance contracts to Pratt & Whitney’s worldwide engine maintenance centers and enhanced P&W’s bottom line. Mr. Hecht, who has both an MBA and a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, will take a leadership role on consulting related to aircraft engines and propulsion as ACMG’s Senior Consultant, Engines.

The three new Senior Consultants join ACMG effective immediately, and supplement an already talented consulting team headed up by Robert V. Dahl, ACMG’s long-time Managing Director and consulting practice chief. Their involvement strengthens ACMG’s capabilities overall, and specifically in the Asia-Pacific and European regions, and in the engine/propulsion sector.
