Four hours and twenty-six minutes after taking off at Everett, the 748i touched down at Boeing field to a waiting (and cheering) crowd. After taxiing down the full length of runway 31R, Capt. Mark Feuerstein and First Officer Paul Stemer slowed the aircraft to a halt in front of the south entrance to the Boeing ramp. It was shortly thereafter put into position for the subsequent post-flight press conference.

According to Feuerstien, just a few minutes later, “There are no mandatory maintenance squawks” after the flight, and “any 747-400 crew could have gone and flown this airplane.”

More scenes from the press conference and video of the flight to come.
