British Airways World Cargo, the cargo arm of British Airways, signed a five-year lease agreement for three 747-8Fs with Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings’ UK subsidiary Global Supply Systems (GSS).

BAWC currently leases three 747-400Fs from Atlas (through GSS), and these will be replaced by the 747-8Fs beginning in early 2011.
Atlas has twelve 747-8Fs on firm order with Boeing, and BAWC is the first (or first-announced) ACMI customer for the big new freighters.
