HangarLabs, an Israel-based aerospace accelerator operated by maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) company BEDEK, has been named the Official Accelerator Partner for the upcoming Cargo Facts EMEA event on Feb. 4-6, 2019, at The Westin Grand Frankfurt.

The event will feature a session of startup demos, where logistics-focused startups can share their products and services in front of an audience of engaged industry professionals. As the Official Accelerator Partner, the session will feature technology demos from HangarLabs’ portfolio of startups.

HangarLabs is an innovation accelerator promoting commercial aviation-related technologies and ventures. Founded by BEDEK, the $500-million commercial aviation group that is part of Israeli Aerospace Industries, HangarLabs targets “Industry 4.0” companies in order to mutually develop products for the commercial aviation industry, with a particular emphasis on freight.

“We are very excited to partner with HangarLabs for our premier event,” said Molly Stewart, chief operating officer of Royal Media, parent company of Cargo Facts EMEA. “We are looking forward to providing a platform to showcase these innovative startups.”

Cargo Facts EMEA is a conference for the airfreight industry that merges decades of market experience with the most innovative ideas in air freight technology. The Cargo Facts EMEA agenda was designed to explore airfreight issues through the lens of emerging technology and innovation, highlighting opportunities in the EMEA region — and beyond — while exploring next-generation freighter aircraft technology.
