Dachser 747 sizedWith demand for logistics continuing to skyrocket across the Southeast Asia region, Dachser has now opened new offices in Vietnam, Hong Kong and India. Dachser said the new locations have been set up in Hanoi, the New Territories of Hong Kong, and Mumbai.

The new branch in Hanoi will supplement its already-existing Ho Chi Minh City office, said Michael Deisemann, managing director of Dachser’s air and sea logistics business in Vietnam. “Many manufacturers – particularly those in the textile, shoe, and electronics industries – have established production facilities in northern Vietnam,” he added. “The branch office will provide air- and seafreight [FCL and LCL] to Europe, Central Asia and the U.S., and will also offer warehousing and value-added services if needed.”

In addition, the logistics firm is moving to a new regional office in Tsuen Wan section of Hong Kong, merging airfreight, seafreight and logistics services into on location, said Nils Holder, managing director for Dachser’s Hong Kong division of air and sea logistics. The Dachser transit warehouse in Tsuen Wan will continue to be used for airfreight, while the branch office in Tsing Yi will handle contract logistics, he said.

According to a Dachser release, the new Mumbai office, in the bustling Sakinaka commercial district, is now located closer to its customers, near the international airport. Designed with an open floor plan, the new office enables the staff of about 100 to communicate between departments more effectively, combining air, ocean, customs and operations staff under one roof. “India has long been a very strong market for Dachser,” said Frank Guenzerodt, president and CEO of Dachser USA, a U.S.-based subsidiary of Germany’s Dachser SE. “The extensive and increasing coverage assists USA importers and exporters with the intricacies of Indian transportation.”
