PEMCO redelivers first of three 737-300Fs to Longhao Aviation Group

Pemco World Air Services (PEMCO) has redelivered its first freighter-converted 737-300 aircraft to China-based Guangdong Long Hao Aviation Group, better known as “Longhao Aviation Group.” With the delivery, Longhao edges closer to the receipt of its Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC), which the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) is expected to grant once Longhao has a fleet of three aircraft.

According to PEMCO,  Longhao has two additional 737-300Fs on order, with options for more conversions. Longhao’s next conversions are expected to be inducted soon, and with conversion finished by the first half of 2017.

“We are delighted to see the first aircraft finish conversion and after various testing, the aircraft’s performance has proved to succeed our demand for freight/cargo transportation,” said Longhao Aviation Group president Zhao Jiguang.

PEMCO-converted aircraft make up 70 percent of China-based 737-300F and -400F fleets in service, according to a PEMCO release. The company has already redelivered over fifty 737-300F and -400F conversions to Chinese operators since 2006.

The 737-300 conversions features nine pallet positions, up to 43,100 pounds of payload, 4,600 cubic feet of total volume, and a max range exceeding 2,000 miles.
