Precision initiates second HAECO Xiamen line with BlackRock 757 induction

Precision Aircraft Solutions is adding a second conversion line at the HAECO facility in Xiamen (XMN) to accommodate a growing backlog of 757-200 passenger-to-freighter conversions. BlackRock’s Aviation Holdings III fund, which has committed to four 757-200PCF conversions , confirmed to Cargo Facts that the first aircraft to undergo conversion with Precision is the 1999-vintage unit 28836 (ex-TUI Airways), which will arrive shortly at XMN for induction, with an expected redelivery by the end of 2021. (Photo/AerSale)[/caption] The other three will follow nose to tail, with the 2000-vintage unit 29379 (ex-TUI Airways) starting in January 2022; the 2000-vintage unit 30394 (ex-TUI Airways) next spring; and the 1997-vintage unit 28833 (ex-Air Astana) in the summer. BlackRock said it decided to convert the three ex-TUI units first because it is in discussions with a number of potential operators who are interested in sister ships. We note that SF Airlines has multiple ex-TUI 757 freighters in its fleet and is still adding more of the type. Precision Aircraft Solutions told Cargo Facts it is currently sold out for the next twelve months on its 757 program. The company recently completed unit 34009 (ex-Xiamen Airlines) in Chengdu (CTU) for North-western Cargo International Airlines and also completed unit 32400 (ex-American Airlines) in Goodyear (GYR) for AerSale. That aircraft is now in Amerjiet colors. There continues to be much activity surrounding 757s . Precision said it expects to redeliver unit 26244 (ex-Icelandair) — currently at XMN — in September, and unit 26245 — currently at the Avocet facility in Sanford (SFB) — in October 2021. Meanwhile, AerSale ferried another ex-American Airlines unit (32387) to GYR on Aug. 26, likely for induction, and Cargojet and SF Airlines each purchased a 757-200 (22690, ex-Mexican Air Force, and 30548, ex-American Airlines, respectively) on Aug. 27. 321 Precision Conversions, the conversion house’s JV with ATSG, said the situation was similar to its A321-200PCF program, with slots booked out for the next fourteen to sixteen months.
