Falcon orders 15 AutoFlight cargo eVTOLs

United Arab Emirates-based Falcon Aviation Services has ordered fifteen CarryAll electric vertical takeoff and landing cargo aircraft from AutoFlight to expand its offshore lift capacity. AutoFlight expects to deliver the first unit by the end of the year, so Falcon can provide electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft (eVTOL) cargo support for Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, AutoFlight told Cargo Facts . (Courtesy/AutoFlight)[/caption] The eVTOL manufacturer did not disclose the value of the deal with Falcon Aviation Services. The CarryAll can carry a maximum of 400 kilograms up to 125 miles at a speed of 124 miles per hour. Falcon has also ordered thirty-five of the Prosperity passenger variant and is still negotiating additional CarryAll options, AutoFlight said. AutoFlight has “more than a few hundred orders” in its backlog for the CarryAll and Prosperity eVTOLs, it said. Kellen Xie, senior vice president of global sales and business development at AutoFlight, told Cargo Facts at the Dubai Airshow 2023 that the manufacturer had received a total of 205 orders from customers in the UAE for its CarryAll and Prosperity eVTOLs, and another 100 orders for the CarryAll from customers in China. CarryAll receives CAAC approval AutoFlight received its airworthiness certificate for the CarryAll in July from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), following the production certificate in December 24, 2024, and the type certificate in March 2024, making the CarryAll the first eVTOL with a takeoff weight of 2 tonnes to be fully certified by the CAAC, AutoFlight announced in July. AutoFlight delivered the first CarryAll to China-based Heli Chuangxing Intelligent that month. The CarryAll started conducting flight tests with logistics companies in cities such as Hong Kong, Zhuhai, Shenzhen and Macau in 2023, Xie previously told Cargo Facts . AutoFlight planned to begin the approval process with the CAAC for the Prosperity when the CarryAll certification was completed, Xie previously said. Apart from its orders with AutoFlight, Falcon also placed an order with DeHavilland Aircraft at the Dubai Airshow in 2023 for two Dash 8-400 quick-change conversion kits.
