Baldvin Hermannsson, chief executive of Air Atlanta Icelandic and Air Atlanta Europe; Guneet Mirchandani, chairman of Air One; and Nadeem Sultan, senior vice president of cargo planning and freighters at Emirates SkyCargo, will join Cargo Facts EMEA for the panel discussion “Capacity shortage: Building a widebody fleet for the long term” on Wednesday, April 29, at 11:15 (GMT+2).

The eighth annual Cargo Facts EMEA event takes place April 28-30 at the Marriott Hotel Grand Place in Brussels, where key market influencers will assemble to share their outlook on the latest developments and market trends in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Hermannsson started at Air Atlanta in 2001 and became CEO in 2019. The carrier launched 777-300ERSF operations in December 2025 as the second operator of the type. Air Atlanta is flying one unit on behalf of Fly Meta and on an ACMI basis for Hungary Airlines. Delivery of a second unit is scheduled in the two or three months.

Mirchandani has been chairman of Air One for around five years. The group added two new 777Fs in 2025. Its fleet includes eleven 747-400 freighters across three AOCs, and Air One hopes to grow to a fleet of twenty large-widebody freighters over the next ten years.

Sultan was promoted to SVP in September 2023. Emirates took delivery of a 777F from Boeing in early March and has twelve of the type, with nine more on order. It also sent the first of ten 777-300ERs to IAI for conversion in November 2025.

The executives will discuss:

  • Widebody types, programs and orders;
  • Extending the service life of 747 freighters amid a capacity shortage;
  • Introducing 777 conversions to EMEA markets.

Cargo Facts EMEA 2026 will take place April 28-30 in Brussels at the Marriott Hotel Grand Place. For more information and to register, visit CargoFactsEvents.com.
