Delta’s Penseel joins Cargo Facts Symposium 2026

Peter Penseel, president of Delta Cargo, will join Cargo Facts Symposium 2026 for the panel discussion “Rebalancing capacity in the global freighter market” on Thursday, Oct. 22, at 9:15 a.m. (GMT -5).

The 32nd annual Cargo Facts Symposium will take place Oct. 21-23 at the Grand Hyatt in Nashville, Tenn., where industry leaders and decision-makers will gather to assess the latest trends and developments in the freighter sector, while sharing their insights to project the market’s growth trajectory.

Penseel will be joined by Andres Bianchi, chief executive of LATAM Cargo, and Diogo Elias, CEO of Avianca Cargo. The cargo executives will discuss:

• Dealing with unpredictability in air cargo traffic flows and geopolitics;
• Adapting capacity to match demand — the need for fluidity and flexibility; and
• Strategies for maximizing freighter fleet utilization.

Penseel became president of Delta Cargo in June 2024. He has held leadership roles in the industry for more than thirty years, including chief operating officer of CEVA Logistics, senior vice president of cargo sales and networking at Qatar Airways, and senior vice president and global head of network carrier management at DHL Express.

Delta Cargo’s revenue increased 39% year over year to $294 million in the second quarter, driven largely by higher volumes, according to its July 10 earnings report. Cargo revenue for the first half of 2026 rose 24% to $521 million from $421 million during the same period a year earlier.
