Yesterday marked the launch of new narrowbody domestic freighter service for SpiceXpress, the cargo division of Indian low-cost carrier SpiceJet.

According to an announcement from the company, the daily service will operate between Chennai Airport (MAA), Hyderabad (HYD), Delhi (DEL), Mumbai (BOM) and Bangalore (BLR). SpiceXpress operates two 737-700 converted freighters and has plans to continue growing its freighter fleet through the first half of 2020, according to our sister publication, Cargo Facts.

In addition to its two 737Fs, the carrier operates a large passenger fleet including 737 NG aircraft and Q400 turboprop aircraft. SpiceJet also has taken delivery of several 737 MAX aircraft, and according to Boeing’s order book, still has 129 unfilled orders.
