Amazon Air flights began operating at St. Louis Airport (STL) as of yesterday, as can be seen in the tweet from the airport below. According to flight tracking software, the flight, operated by Air Transport Services Group carrier ABX Air, departed from Baltimore (BWI) and continued to Ontario (ONT).

STL is not the only new airport in Amazon Air’s network. Also yesterday, Amazon announced its regional hub at the Fort Worth Alliance Airport (AFW) will open next month. Amazon’s new facility at Chicago Rockford Airport (RFD) is also set to open next month, on Oct. 7.

Meanwhile, freighters in the e-tail giant’s network are set to soon shift operators among the Atlas Air Worldwide and ATSG affiliate carriers currently flying for Amazon. As reported by our sister publication Cargo Facts today, at least two of the 767 freighters leased by Amazon from Atlas Air Worldwide’s leasing affiliate, Titan Aviation Holdings, will no longer be operated on a CMI basis by Atlas Air. Instead, an affiliate carrier of ATSG, Air Transport International, will begin operating the freighters for Amazon. ATSG affiliate carriers already operate more than 20 767 freighters for Amazon Air, with more deliveries scheduled for later this year.
