MasAir signs on with cargo.one for digital booking ahead of A330F additions

Mexico-based cargo airline MasAir has signed on with German e-booking platform cargo.one, becoming the first Mexican carrier to join the platform after cargo.one’s North American launch earlier this year. [caption id="attachment_97053" align="alignright" width="450"] (Photo/CDB Aviation)[/caption] The carrier’s move to add digital booking capability through cargo.one is aimed at improving its booking response time and expanding its customer base ahead of the A330-200P2F and A330-300P2F aircraft joining MasAir’s fleet in early 2022, as reported by our sister publication, Cargo Facts . “Digitalization is one of the main pillars of our vision” for growth at MasAir, said CEO Luis Sierra in today’s release on the partnership. “As we are poised to modernize and augment our fleet in 2022, the time is also right to bring our service offer to a future-driven, real-time digital platform, and we have great ambitions for our partnership with cargo.one.” MasAir capacity will be available for booking for North America-based freight forwarders later this fall, according to the release. The partnership also significantly expands routes available for booking in North America, thanks to MasAir’s connectivity through its hub in Mexico City (MEX). MasAir currently operates three 767Fs and is expected to become the first operator of both A330P2F types after next year’s deliveries. Cargo.one announced the addition of its first North American carrier, Air Canada Cargo , in March, and has since signed on its first U.S.-based airline, American Airlines . The e-booking platform also expanded into Southeast Asia earlier this month with the addition of Malaysia-based MASkargo .
