As we say goodbye to 2021 and look forward to the new year, we at Air Cargo World share some of the most festive holiday e-greetings and social media posts from the across the airfreight industry. Attached to the e-card are brief comments from the company that reflect on 2021 with an added note of encouragement for 2022. Atlas Air Worldwide’s e-card Atlas Air Worldwide’s holiday e-card wishes its customers a world of joy this season. The card depicts the word 'joy' against a background of stars. Kintetsu World Express (KWE) holiday video While wishing everyone a happy new year, KWE reminded its customers in a short video that change comes to us all, and the hands that fix the broken can build the future. On the topic of building, KWE launched a charter flight program from HKG to LAX to build much needed capacity from the Asia-Pacific region. Qatar Airways’ thank-you card Qatar Airways used the end of the year as an opportunity to thank its customers and employees for making 2021 a successful year. In 2021, Qatar Airways Cargo began flying three new Boeing 777 freighters , adopted fire-resistant ULDs , and is currently building up its digital platforms . cargo.one’s holiday greeting [caption id="attachment_97970" align="alignright" width="331"] (Photo: cargo.one via LinkedIn)[/caption] The c argo.one team , also known as the Cargonauts, thanked customers and partners for all the good work they did in 2021. The holiday greeting wasted no time reminding customers of the achievements cargo.one was able to accomplish in 2021 despite the rough couple of years due to COVID-19. The accomplishments included the launch cargo.one360 , developing new partnerships and adding more Cargonauts to the team. Cargolux’s holiday video Cargolux’s short holiday video depicts the classic white Christmas theme with a twist; a snowy village with a Cargolux plane flying overhead. The phrase ‘Season’s Greeting’ flashes in various languages beneath the image. IAG Cargo’s holiday video Instead of opting for a traditional e-card, IAG Cargo posted a short holiday video to help spread holiday cheer. The video featuring IAG Cargo members from across the globe shares a holiday message in various languages. KLM’s e-card KLM emailed its holiday cards this year. The short greeting is personally addressed to the customer, and it offers best wishes, joy and happiness, but most of all it encourages the customer to seek out new adventures in 2022. It brings those words home with the collection of photos that emphasize community, whether on a KLM flight or a gathering of people celebrating with sparklers. Finnair’s holiday video [caption id="attachment_97965" align="alignright" width="225"] (Photo: Finnair Cargo)[/caption] Fredrik Wildtgrube, vice president of Finnair , penned a Christmas message reminding all that it was determination and the ability to work together that has helped everyone through the last two years. The global logistics industry has much to be proud of, including delivering vaccines and other personal protective equipment (PPE) items across the globe. But most of all, Wildtgrube spoke of his admiration for logistics industry employees because, despite the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, their creative solutions and resiliency continue to improve the industry . To top it off, Finnair’s holiday video message included a clip of Santa Claus reading a Christmas postcard. And who did he choose to deliver his presents? Not Rudolph, but Finnair — the official airline of Santa Claus. [caption id="attachment_97996" align="alignright" width="300"] (Photo: Air Canada Cargo)[/caption] Air Canada Cargo’s e-card Air Canada Cargo’s seasons greeting e-card proves that simplicity is sometimes best. This holiday season, Air Canada Cargo opted for a snowflake with Canada’s national symbol as well as the airline’s logo, the red maple leaf, at its center. One of the snowflake arms, which resembles an airplane, detaches itself and takes off. Perhaps this is reflective of Air Canada’s recent launching of its own freighter operations .
