Henrik Ambak, senior vice president of cargo operations worldwide at Emirates, will be featured in a fireside chat at Cargo Facts EMEA on Tuesday, May 10, at 10:15 a.m. local time (UTC+4).
Cargo Facts EMEA will take place live May 9-11 in Dubai for the first time. The event will bring together industry experts, offering access to emerging airfreight technology and providing solutions to challenges affecting today’s air cargo market.
Ambak will share his insight into Emirates’ cargo operations and fleet strategy as well as the overall freighter market. The carrier is set to expand its freighter fleet with two more new 777Fs this year in addition to the conversion of at least four of its own units into 777-300ERSFs with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) using the upcoming conversion line at the Etihad Engineering facility in Abu Dhabi (AUH), with redeliveries expected in 2023 and 2024.
Throughout the pandemic, Emirates’ passenger-freighter operations have led the industry, using its massive fleet of 777-300ERs.
Ambak joined Emirates in 2014 and has since been responsible for global service delivery, including the self-handled hubs at DXB and DWC, cargo handling and trucking, special services solutions, pharmaceutical cargo and standards and operational safety.
Ambak started his career in freight forwarding in his home country of Denmark and in 2001 joined Cargolux as vice president, responsible for cargo and ground operations, and IT.
