港珠澳大桥 新建落成的港珠澳大桥，预计可以将中国珠海与中国香港之间的通行时间由原来的240分钟缩短至75分钟，大幅提升了珠江三角洲地区机场群的集货能力和竞争实力。 珠江三角洲西岸有很多重要的机场，然而长久以来，香港机场（HKG）是全球最繁忙的货运机场，2017年的货邮吞吐量达到了490万吨。 近年来，珠江三角洲地区机场群，特别是广州白云机场（CAN），充分借助不断增长的产业发展来提高航空货运吞吐量。2017年，广州白云机场的货物吞吐量为160万吨，货量排名全球第19位。然而，在广州以南仅135公里，是曾经孤立无援的澳门机场（MFM），2017年该机场的货物吞吐量不到3.8万吨。 拥有55公里桥面的港珠澳大桥正式运营，香港、珠海、澳门已实现互联互通，《空运通讯》认为，部分的航空货源将随之转移。通过陆路直连的节省时间，卡车司机可以将原来珠江三角洲西岸与香港之间的日行运载货量翻倍。目前，有待观察的是，那些机场将从珠三角区域大贯通之中受益最多。《空运通讯》认为，澳门机场在航空货运的业务增速方面潜力巨大，尤其是货运包机业务的发展以及接收来自于全球物流中心香港机场所溢出的货源。就其本身而言，香港机场在短期内几乎没有可能受到周边机场的威胁，主要原因是其完善的基础设施建议以及遍布全球的通达性航空网络，这些核心竞争力难以复制。
