United agrees to purchase 100 aircraft from JetZero

Blended-wing body design can improve fuel efficiency by 50%

United Airlines is investing an undisclosed amount in aircraft developer JetZero, placing 100 blended-wing body aircraft on order with an option for 100 more.  The conditional purchase agreement requires that JetZero achieve development milestones, including flight of a full-scale demonstrator in 2027, according to a joint release today.  The JetZero Z4 aircraft passed the U.S. […]
