Uni-Top’s sixth A300-600 in conversion at EFW’s facility in Dresden.

Yesterday, Uni-Top Airlines took redelivery of its sixth passenger-to-freighter converted A300-600F (741, ex-China Eastern), after its conversion at the EFW facility in Dresden. The aircraft is now headed to the Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Co, Ltd (GAMECO) facility for painting before it enters operations.

The China-based carrier announced plans to add converted A300Fs into its operations back in 2014 and took redelivery of the first aircraft in 2016, when Uni-Top told Cargo Facts that the Airbus freighters will help the carrier strike a balance between regional, domestic, and international operations. The airline also has a seventh A300-600 (725) in conversion with EFW.

Uni-Top is also launching three-times weekly 747F service between Kunming (KMG) and Dubai (DXB), according to Xinhua. Earlier this year, the carrier added 747F routes between its Wuhan (WUH) base and European destinations Liege (LGG) and Luxembourg (LUX).

The newest addition to Uni-Top’s A300-600F fleet will support the carrier’s existing route network going into peak season, according to the airline. Currently, the A300Fs in Uni-Top’s fleet connect China to Southeast Asia, India, and Central Asia.

Those interested in learning more about freighter conversions are invited to join us 10-12 October at  Cargo Facts Symposium, where a panel discussion will be dedicated to the topic. For more information, or to register, visit www.cargofactssymposium.com.
