Transactions keep climbing in November

The number of Freighter Aircraft Transactions (FATs) Cargo Facts recorded crescendoed to a total of 140 in November, another new monthly high. Even in what has already been an exceptional year in terms of orders, deliveries, inductions, redeliveries, leases, acquisitions, placements, etc., November was far above the monthly average and the third month to see triple digits, after 100 in June and 120 in October. Several large orders — particularly from the Dubai Airshow — helped bump up November’s figure, including the first commitments for the A350F; DHL adding nine more 767-300BCFs; Icelease ordering eleven 737-800BCF conversions; and Aero Capital Solutions’ top-up order for thirteen 737-800SFs. Aircraft Finance Germany acquired two 747-8Fs (37562 and 37563, both ex-Saudia) and will lease them to China-based Hongyuan Group, which intends to place them with AirBridgeCargo for CMI operation [FATs 006705-6710]. Elit'Avia Malta began operating a 747-400BDSF (27044, ex-Air Atlanta Icelandic) on a CMI basis for Quick Link Aviation [FAT 006797]. Emirates placed an order for four 777-300ERSF conversions with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) [FATs 006859-6862]. Air Lease Corporation signed a letter of intent for seven A350Fs with Airbus [FATs 006843-6849]. CMA CGM signed a memorandum of understanding to purchase four A350Fs from Airbus [FATs 006901-6904]. Maersk placed an order for two 777Fs with Boeing [FATs 006714-6715]. Emirates placed an order for two 777Fs with Boeing [FATs 006863-6864]. Cargojet signed a deal to purchase two 777-200LRMFs (29742 and 40560, both ex-Delta Air Lines) from Mammoth Freighters. The carrier also holds options for two additional 777-200LRMFs and two 777-300ERMFs [FATs 006866-6871]. MNG Airlines took redelivery of its first A330-300P2F (879, ex-China Southern) after conversion with Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW) in Dresden (DRS) [FAT 006889]. Maersk placed a lease order for three 767-300 converted freighters with Cargo Aircraft Management (CAM) [FATs 006716-6718]. Jetran acquired a 767-300ER (41997, ex-LATAM) [FAT 006730]. CAM placed an order for four 767-300BCF conversions with Boeing [FATs 006732-6735]. CAM also took redelivery of a 767-300BDSF (29604, ex-American Airlines), after conversion with IAI in Tel Aviv (TLV) [FAT 006802]. DHL Express acquired a 767-300ER (41997, ex-LATAM) from Jetran [FAT 006795]. DHL also ordered nine more 767-300BCF conversions with Boeing [FATs 006850-6858]. Air Tanzania placed an order for one 767-300F with Boeing [FAT 006865]. Amazon took delivery of a 767-300BDSF (29605, ex-American Airlines) on lease from CAM, and placed it with Air Transport International for CMI operation [FATs 006908-6909]. Amazon also took redelivery of a 767-300BDSF (25246, ex-WestJet) after conversion with IAI in Mexico City (MEX) [FAT 006921]. Amazon also inducted for conversion a 767-300ER (30573, ex-Delta Air Lines). The aircraft will be converted with IAI at MEX [FAT 006922]. UPS took delivery of a 767-300F (66811) from Boeing and ferried it to San Antonio (SAT) [FAT 006926]. SF Airlines inducted for conversion a 757-200 (30886, ex-American Airlines). The aircraft will be converted with Precision Aircraft Solutions in Chengdu (CTU) [FAT 006731]. SF Airlines also acquired two 757-200s (32447 and 32446, both ex-TUI Airways) [FATs 006803 and 006891]. Cargojet acquired three 757-200 freighters [FATs 006788-6790]. Astral Aviation placed a lease order for three 757-200PCFs (23687, 22812 and 22910, all ex-ATI) from Aquila Air Capital [FATs 006799-6801]. Icelease took redelivery of a 757-200PCF (26244, ex-Icelandair) after conversion with Precision Aircraft Solutions in Xiamen (XMN) and ferried it to Spokane (GEG) [FAT 006828]. SmartLynx signed a deal to lease two A321-200PCFs (1204, ex-Air Astana, and 775, ex-Ural Airlines) from Cross Ocean Partners. The aircraft are already in conversion in Sanford (SFB) and Tampa (TPA), respectively [FATs 006738-6743]. Castlelake inducted for conversion an A321-200 (3267, ex-Avion Express). The aircraft will be converted with EFW in Singapore (XSP) and placed on lease to IndiGo [FATs 006912-6916]. China Central Longhao Airlines took delivery of a 737-800BCF (32606, ex-Hainan Airlines) [FAT 006729]. ASL Airlines Belgium began operating a 737-800BCF (35552, ex-Ryanair) in ACMI service for FedEx Express [FAT 006791]. Aero Capital Solutions acquired a 737-800 (29986, ex-Korean Air) and inducted it for conversion. The aircraft will be converted by Aeronautical Engineers Inc. (AEI) in Jinan (TNA) [FATs 006792-6793]. Aero Capital Solutions also took redelivery of a 737-800SF (30284, ex-Air Europa) after conversion with AEI at TNA, and ferried it to Shannon (SNN) [FAT 006794]. Aero Capital Solutions also placed an order for thirteen more 737-800SF conversions with AEI [FATs 006876-6888]. World Star Aviation placed an order for ten 737-800BDSF conversions with IAI , with options for ten additional conversions [FATs 006805-6824]. Icelease placed an order for eleven 737-800BCF conversions with Boeing [FATs 006832-6842]. Aircastle placed an order for four 737-800SF conversions with AEI [FATs 006872-6875]. AviaAM Leasing placed an order for five more 737-800BCF conversions with Boeing [FATs 006892-6896]. JP Lease placed an order for one more 737-800BCF conversion with Boeing [FAT 006899]. Aviator Capital Management placed an order for one 737-800BCF conversion with Boeing [FAT 006900]. DHL took redelivery of a 737-800BDSF (30467, ex-SAS) after conversion with IAI in Tianjin (TSN) and ferried it to Madrid (MAD), ahead of placing it with Swiftair for CMI operation [FATs 006910-6911]. DHL also placed a 737-800BDSF (30499, ex-Shenzhen Airlines) with iAero Airways for CMI operation [FAT 006917]. DHL also inducted for conversion a 737-800 (32278, ex-SAS). The aircraft will be converted with IAI in TSN [FAT 006918]. Amazon took delivery of a 737-800SF (30877, ex-Jeju Air) on lease from Aero Capital Solutions [FAT 006907]. Spectre Air Capital acquired a 737-800 (28325, ex-SAS) [FAT 006919]. Kargo Xpress took delivery of a 737-800BCF (34267, ex-GOL) on lease from GECAS [FATs 006923-6924]. Macquarie AirFinance inducted for conversion a 737-800 (30570, ex-Aerolineas Argentinas). The aircraft will be converted with AEI in Miami (MIA) [FAT 006925]. USA Jet Airlines took redelivery of an MD-88SF (53259, ex-Delta Air Lines) after conversion with AEI in Dothan (DHN), and ferried it to Ypsilanti (YIP) [FAT 006804]. Texel Air returned a 737-300F (28200) off lease [FAT 006890].
