Linkner, Cook step up at Chapman Freeborn

Global air charter and leasing company Chapman Freeborn has appointed Roy Linkner vice president of cargo and aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance (ACMI) leasing. [caption id="attachment_57136447" align="alignright" width="200"] Roy Linkner[/caption] Linkner will work with Chapman Freeborn’s teams globally to develop the ACMI business with a focus on cargo, addressing both supply and demand. “I’ve been developing ACMI business lines, specifically in cargo, for over 16 years and I have a strong understanding of the customers’ needs because I, myself, have been a user of ACMI,” Linkner said in a release. Linkner brings more than 35 years’ industry expertise in passenger operations and commercial air cargo, encompassing business development, sales, revenue management, and aircraft leasing and consultancy at companies including British Airways , Delta Airlines , Martinair , Southern Air and Airborne Global Solutions . Additionally, Chapman Freeborn has appointed Russell Cook as the automotive industry vertical director. [caption id="attachment_57136448" align="alignright" width="300"] Russell Cook[/caption] Cook has had a more than 30-year career in freight forwarding — 20 of which were spent looking after automotive clients. He previously held roles at Emery Worldwide , UPS and DB Schenker . In his new role, Cook will engage with Chapman Freeborn’s automotive clients globally, assist with their supply chains and work with freight forwarders directly, based on each situation’s individual needs.
