People: KF Aerospace appoints Gregg Evjen president

KF Aerospace has appointed Gregg Evjen president effective Sept. 1, continuing his thirty-five-year career with the company. [caption id="attachment_57290817" align="alignright" width="252"] Gregg Evjen[/caption] Current President and Chief Executive Tracy Medve will remain CEO of KF Capital , the umbrella organization overseeing KF Aerospace , according to an Aug. 7 release. Evjen joined Kelowna, British Columbia-based KF Aerospace as a junior engineer in 1989. Since then, he has held leadership roles including manager and director of engineering, vice president of maintenance and engineering, and chief operating officer from 2021 to 2025. Evjen also serves on the board of directors for the Air Transport Association of Canada and is a past chairperson. Den Heijer to become Air France-KLM CCO [caption id="attachment_57290815" align="alignright" width="300"] Angus Clarke and Adriaan den Heijer[/caption] Adriaan den Heijer has been named chief commercial officer of Air France-KLM effective Sept. 1. He will continue as executive vice president in charge of Air France-KLM Cargo , a role he has held since January 2020, according to a July 31 release. Den Heijer joined KLM in 1995 and has been senior vice president of pricing and revenue management for Air France-KLM; SVP of KLM ground services; VP of KLM marketing and brand; VP of pricing and revenue management for KLM Europe; general manager KLM for greater China; and director of KLM Cargo for North and West Europe. Den Heijer will succeed Angus Clarke , who is resigning effective Aug. 31. Clarke plans to take a position outside the company later in the year, according to a July 11 release. Clarke has been CCO since September 2022. Ierfino named VP sales, cargo at WestJet [caption id="attachment_57290814" align="alignright" width="207"] Amanda Ierfino[/caption] Amanda Ierfino became vice president of sales and cargo at WestJet on June 1. Ierfino became director of sales in December 2022. In her expanded role, Ierfino continues to lead the sales team while also taking on leadership of WestJet’s cargo operations, according to a July 21 release. She held roles at Symend from 2021 to 2022, WestJet from 2014 to 2021 and Paradigm Capital from 2012 to 2014. With the planned transition away from dedicated freighter operations taking place later this year, the cargo team will shift its focus to maximizing the potential of belly cargo services, the release said. Molkenboer takes reins as head of cargo at Royal Schiphol Group [caption id="attachment_57290816" align="alignright" width="207"] Eduard Molkenboer[/caption] Royal Schiphol Group appointed Eduard Molkenboer as head of cargo, effective Aug. 5. Former Head of Cargo Joost van Doesburg left the role in February and is now director of business development and communication at dnata . Molkenboer brings more than thirty years of international experience in supply chain management, including twenty-five years in executive roles, according to a July 8 release. He previously worked at CleanLease and DHL Supply Chain . Molkenboer’s arrival heralds “an important step in implementing our renewed cargo strategy,” according to the release. “This strategy ... focuses on optimizing the supply chain, increasing load factors and strengthening cooperation with partners such as [cargo information platform] Cargonaut and Maastricht Aachen Airport (MST).” Royal Schiphol Group owns and operates Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS), Rotterdam The Hague Airport (RTM) and Lelystad Airport (LEY), and holds a majority stake in Eindhoven Airport (EIN), all in the Netherlands. Lange leads expanded Freightos board [caption id="attachment_57290819" align="alignright" width="300"] Udo Lange and Rotem Hershko[/caption] Digital booking company Freightos appointed Udo Lange as nonexecutive chair of its board of directors and expanded the board with the appointment of Rotem Hershko , both effective July 28. Lange, CEO of logistics company Stolt-Nielsen and a Freightos board member since 2019, has more than thirty years of logistics leadership. He was previously FedEx ’s president of health care, logistics and Americas International, and an adviser to the White House Supply Chain Disruption Task Force. Hershko, a senior adviser at McKinsey , has held leadership roles at Maersk and Amazon . Appoo returns to WiseTech as CEO [caption id="attachment_57290820" align="alignright" width="217"] Zubin Appoo[/caption] Zubin Appoo was appointed CEO of logistics software firm WiseTech Global , effective immediately, according to a July 27 release. Appoo succeeds Andrew Cartledge . Cartledge, interim CEO since October 2024, served as chief financial officer since September 2015 and will retire at the end of the year. Appoo helped WiseTech grow between 2004 and 2018, working directly with co-founder and then-CEO Richard White in shaping the company’s growth strategy, the release said. Since 2018, Appoo has held executive leadership roles at software companies, including as chief technology officer at InLoop , Flexischools and HICAPS , and as CEO at Find a Carer . Subramanian named chief product, AI officer at Kale [caption id="attachment_57290818" align="alignright" width="226"] Rajan Subramanian[/caption] Technology products provider Kale Logistics Solutions has appointed Rajan Subramanian as chief product and AI officer, according to an Aug. 7 release. Subramanian joins Kale with two decades of experience in technology strategy, including at PayPal and Accenture . Kale is expanding its AI reach, including with the recent launch of a website to show customers how AI can be used to improve supply chain efficiency, the release said.
