Rhenus Logistics, Katowice Airport, Swissport join Cargo Facts Routes and Airports Conference 2026

The Cargo Facts Routes and Airport Conference continues to add speakers to its event roster.

The latest executives to join the event are: 

• Christian Harupa, vice president of global business development at Rhenus Logistics;

• Mariusz Kuczek, business development manager at Katowice Airport; and

• Steven Polmans, senior vice president of cargo at Swissport.

The three will participate in the panel discussion “E-commerce growth: Route challenges and opportunities” on Monday, April 27, at 15:40 (GMT+2).

The first Cargo Facts Routes and Airports Conference will take place at the Marriott Grand Place in Brussels, bringing together industry decision-makers, global executives and leaders to analyze cargo-specific route development processes, the global factors shaping network changes and the role airports play in route optimization.

Harupa assumed his VP post at Rhenus Logistics, a freight forwarder, in October 2023. He previously served in leadership roles at supply chain management firm HAVI before joining DHL as vice president and global sector head of life science and healthcare and chemicals in 2021.

Kuczek has been business development manager at Katowice airport in Poland for more than ten years. Additionally, he supported air cargo handlers across the Baltic region for more than nine years as the chief strategy officer for IT solutions provider Golden Support.

An industry veteran, Polmans was appointed SVP of global cargo at Swissport in January. He is also a board member of The International Air Cargo Association and was chairman from 2019 to 2025.

Approximately a third, or $1.16 billion, of Swissport’s annual revenue of about $4.3 billion comes from cargo operations. Swissport operates globally.

Each panelist will share insights on topics including:

• The latest trends shaping Asian, LatAm and U.S. route networks;
• Investing in e-commerce hubs at major airports; and
• Balancing consumer-driven cargo with regional tensions.
