Amazon Air Head of Global Fleet Management Tracey O’Brien will join Cargo Facts Symposium for the panel discussion “Technical aspects of freighter conversion and fleet management” on Thursday, Oct. 22, at 12:00 (GMT -5).

The 32nd annual Cargo Facts Symposium will take place Oct. 21-23 at the Grand Hyatt in Nashville, Tenn., where industry leaders and decision makers will gather to assess the latest trends and developments in the freighter sector, while sharing their insights to project the market’s growth trajectory.

View the Cargo Facts Symposium 2026 agenda.

O’Brien will sit down with Gudny Genskowsky, senior vice president of network and alliances at LATAM Cargo, and Challenge Group Chief Commercial Officer Or Zak to discuss:

  • The challenges of keeping conversion programs and heavy maintenance events on schedule;
  • What happens when unexpected issues are found once an aircraft enters modification; and
  • The best practices for managing limited MRO slots, maintenance planning and fleet availability.

O’Brien was promoted to head of global fleet management at Amazon in November 2025. In addition to supporting the fleet management and network design at Amazon for more than seven years, she previously served as head of network and fleet planning for Alaska Airlines.

Amazon‘s first production 767 freighter started flying in CMI service with ABX Air in June.

The e-commerce giant had acquired three ex-Maersk Air Cargo 767-300Fs after Maersk removed them from CMI service with Amerijet at the end of February. ABX Air also began operating the second unit in June while the third has not yet entered service.

Amazon will soon expand its A330-300P2F CMI service with Alaska Airlines with its first owned A330 freighter.  That 2012-vintage, Trent 700-powered aircraft completed conversion with EFW in Shanghai (SHA) this year and will join ten units Alaska operates for the e-tailer.

Cargo Facts Symposium 2026, the premier event for the freighter aircraft and air cargo industries, will take place in Nashville, Tenn., on Oct. 21-23. Find out more and register by Sept. 4 to take advantage of early-bird pricing.
