Cargolux and Boeing reach agreement on 747-8Fs

To no one’s great surprise, Cargolux appears to have settled its differences with Boeing over the “contractual issues” that caused it to reject delivery of the first two 747-8 Freighters. The carrier issued the following statement this morning. :

Cargolux reaches tentative agreement with Boeing:

Luxembourg,1 October 2011. Cargolux announced today that the Company has reached a tentative agreement with Boeing over contractual issues in respect of the delivery of the first two Boeing 747-8 Freighters initially scheduled for 19 and 21 September.

Cargolux will disclose further details after signing of the accord and a meeting of its Board of Directors to be held on 7 October 2011.
