Farnborough, Day 3: 172 more orders

A slightly quieter day on the order front at Farnborough today. Barring any last minute announcements, it looks like there were 172 new orders and commitments for commercial jets, bringing the total so far to 694.

Updating the
running total from yesterday, we now have the following (items in bold are from day 3):

  • Air Lease: (Steve Hazy’s new company) 51 A320 Family, 56 737NGs, 10 Embraer RJs, and 10 ATR turboprops.
  • Avolon (a new lessor from Ireland) 12 737NGs

  • Nordic Aviation Capital: 7 ATR turboprops
  • RBS Aviation Capital: 43 737NGs, 52 A320 Family
