Ameriflight Metro

Thank goodness for FAR-135 operators, without whom smaller express markets would be hard to reach.

On this day we see one of Ameriflight’s Fairchild-Swearingen SA227-AT Merlin IVCs on a round trip to Yakima Air Terminal from Boeing Field. This run takes a little over an hour, and cargo is run in mainly for UPS. There are also arrivals for ABX/DHL & ATI.

Ameriflight shares BFI with other FAR-135 operators like AirPac and Martinaire, but Ameriflight is the biggest, as well as the largest of all the FAR-135 operators overall.

N807M (id: AT-454b) is one of 19 Merlins in the Ameriflight stable, along with 25 additional Fairchild-Swearingen Metros. It was built in 1981 and has served with Ameriflight since 1997.
