Airlink gains nonprofit status.

Airlink, which connects commercial airlines and humanitarian aid organizations for air and cargo transportation in disaster relief situations, was granted tax-exempt status as a charitable organization by the US Internal Revenue service.

“Obtaining 501(c)(3) status is a major accomplishment for Airlink,” said Steve Smith, Executive Director, “It opens the doors for us to increase our fundraising activities and solidifies Airlink’s credibility with the public and other entities we want to work with in the future. The new status also gives Airlink the opportunity to be eligible for grants on federal, state and local levels.
