Every week in Cargo Facts Update, we include a list of recent freighter aircraft transactions, and then a comprehensive summary in the monthly issue of Cargo Facts. Each reference to a freighter aircraft transaction (FAT) in our publications contains a unique FAT code linked to the FAT database on the CargoFacts.com website. This database is available to subscribers as an interactive tool on our website, and you can go to it from the “FAT Data” tab at the top of the home page, or directly at https://cargofacts1.wpengine.com/fat/

Below, we include the transactions from recent issues of Cargo Facts Update, and we encourage you to make use of the FAT database here on our website.

UPS took delivery of a 747-8F (64256) from Boeing [FAT 004453]. UPS now operates six 747-8Fs and has twenty-two more on order.

US-based Kalitta Air acquired a 747-400F (26414, ex-Korean Air) [FAT 004448]. The aircraft has been parked at ICN since November 2017. Kalitta’s fleet now includes twenty-two 747-400 freighters (1 ERF, 11 Fs, 10 BCFs) and five 767-300BDSFs. The carrier also has two more 767-300ERs in or awaiting conversion with Bedek. Kalitta serves a number of ACMI customers and operates two 747-400Fs for Turkish Airlines, five 747-400BCFs and four 767-300BDSFs for DHL Express, one 747-400BCF for Pacific Air Cargo, and one 747-400BCF for Apex Logistics.

EgyptAir put a second A330-200 (709) into freighter conversion at EFW’s Dresden facility [FAT 004441]. EgyptAir is the launch customer (and so far, the only customer) for EFW’s A330-200P2F program, with a two-conversion order placed in late 2014. The first aircraft (600) entered conversion in April 2017.

US-based all-cargo carrier Amerijet acquired a 767-300BDSF (27184) on lease from Cargo Aircraft Management, the leasing arm of Air Transport Services Group [FAT 004442].

Air Transport Services Group took redelivery of a 767-300BDSF (25201, ex-American Airlines) following conversion to freighter configuration by Bedek Aviation Group [FAT 004443].

RAM Cargo took redelivery of a 767-300BCF (30008) following conversion to freighter configuration by Boeing at the Paya Labar facility in Singapore [FAT 004449]. Prior to conversion, Royal Air Maroc operated the aircraft in passenger configuration.

FedEx took delivery of a 767-300F (43553) from Boeing [FAT 004454]. FedEx now operates fifty-eight 767-300Fs and has fifty-six more on order.

Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings (AAWW) took redelivery of a 767-300BDSF (28495, ex-S7 Siberia Airlines) following conversion to freighter configuration by Bedek Aviation Group [FATs 004455 – 4456]. Titan Aviation Holdings (AAWW’s leasing arm) will lease the freighter to Amazon, which will hand it back for operation in the Prime Air network by Atlas Air.

Panama-based DHL Aero Expreso acquired a 737-400F (29487) on lease from US-based Petrus Aircraft [FAT 004444].

UK-based International Spray Solutions acquired a 737-400F (27213, ex-Air Bucharest) from Vallair [FAT 004445]. Luxembourg-based lessor Vallair took redelivery of the freighter in late 2016, following conversion by Aeronautical Engineers, Inc.

Guangdong-based Longhao Aviation Group to acquire a 737-400F (27916, ex-Japan Transocean Air) from Luxembourg-based Vallair [FAT 004457]. This will be the carrier’s sixth 737-400F. Longhao’s active freighter fleet consists of three 737-400Fs. Additionally, the carrier is finishing up the importation process for two ex-ASL Airlines Belgium -400Fs it purchased from GECAS in March of this year (29108, 29109). Longhao told Cargo Facts it expects the GECAS aircraft to arrive in Guangdong next month, while the Vallair aircraft is due in August. Longhao primarily operates charter flights on behalf of SF Airlines, but says it may consider operating some of its own flights as its fleet expands.

Sri Lanka-based Fits Aviation acquired an ATR 42-300QC (317) [FAT 004446]. Fits operated an MD-82F beginning in 2014 but has not flown since the sale of that freighter to Aeronaves TSM at the end of April.
