Richard Greener, head of cargo at AerCap, will be featured in a fireside chat at Cargo Facts EMEA on Tuesday, May 10, at 3:00 – 3:45 (UTC+4).
Cargo Facts EMEA will take place live May 9-11 in Dubai for the first time. The event will bring together industry experts, offering access to emerging airfreight technology and providing solutions to challenges affecting today’s air cargo market.

Greener will share his expertise and insight at a time when AerCap, which is now the largest aircraft lessor after its acquisition of GECAS, is looking to expand and partner with conversion houses to meet the growing demands of the freighter industry.
GECAS was the launch customer for Boeing’s 737-800BCF conversion program and AEI’s 737-800SF program and is a partner in Israel Aerospace Industries’ (IAI) 777-300ERSF program.
Just last month, EVA Air became the latest addition to the list of 777-300ERSF customers with the announcement that it would convert three of its own units, joining at least eighteen conversions AerCap itself has on firm order; at least five of those will be leased to U.S.-based Kalitta Air.
At the same time, AerCap continues to send 737-800s for conversion and has placed them with new operators like Malaysia-based Kargo Xpress.
The lessor has not been immune to major disruptions resulting from the Russian invasion of Ukraine. AerCap had 135 owned aircraft on lease to Russian airlines as of late February, including six 737-800BCFs with Atran and two with S7 Airlines.
With more than thirty years of aerospace industry experience, Greener has been with GECAS since 2001. He previously served as senior vice president of specialty markets, which included the marketing of cargo, VIP and regional aircraft. Prior to joining GECAS, he worked with BAE Systems Airbus.
