Turhan Ozen, chief cargo officer of Turkish Cargo, has joined the Cargo Facts Symposium 2021 speaker faculty.

Cargo Facts Symposium 2021 returns live this year and will take place Oct. 25-27 at the Wynn Las Vegas.

Turkish Cargo’s Ozen to speak at Cargo Facts SymposiumOzen will participate in the Symposium’s opening panel discussion on “The future of freighters: How long will freighter demand remain strong” at 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 26. The panel will also include ATSG’s CCO Mike Berger and Atlas Air’s Executive Vice President and CCO Michael Steen, and will explore the driving factors behind the increased reliance on freighter aircraft and the necessary network shifts amid ever-changing trade-lane capacity.

In February, Turkish Cargo began the process of splitting off from Turkish Airlines to form an independent company. The Turkish fleet will continue to operate as a single entity, with Turkish Cargo making use of Turkish Airlines’ passenger aircraft, although the exact corporate structure of the new entity is still unclear.

Ozen, who holds an MBA from Turkey’s Koc University, worked in the automotive sector for the Koc Group’s affiliates before transitioning to a position as operations director at TNT Logistics. He started at Turkish Airlines in 2016, and later became chief cargo officer and a board member at We World Express and other industry affiliates.

Turkish Cargo currently has a freighter fleet of eight 777Fs and ten A330-200Fs. The carrier also wet leases capacity from ACT Airlines and ULS Airlines Cargo.

Cargo Facts Symposium is the essential event for stakeholders in the air cargo industry. Learn more and register at www.cargofactssymposium.com.
