David Harris, Cargo Facts‘ senior editor, has been named the Air Cargo Journalist of the Year for 2016 by The Seahorse Club, the London-based club for logistics journalists.
Harris won for his piece, “Invisible cargo connections,” a wonderfully entertaining article published last September on the pieces of disparate evidence that pointed to the formation of AirX. Behind the whimsy, the article reveals Harris’s great depth of knowledge and understanding about the air cargo industry.
The award is a capstone to David’s 15 years of effort as an editor of Cargo Facts.
Cargo Facts, published by Air Cargo Management Group, a unit of Royal Media, has been known as the “newsletter of record” for the air freight and express industry since 1980.
This is the second year in a row that a Royal Media editor has won the Air Cargo Journalist of the Year award. Last year, Randy Woods, the editor of Air Cargo World, which is also published by Royal Media, won the award. Woods was short-listed for the 2016 award.
Congratulations David!!! Great achievement and certainly well deserved. Keep up the great work. We can always count on you for the insight we need. Mike Stewart
