In a strategic agreement with logistics firm WiseTech Global, French forwarder Bolloré Logistics, said this week it will begin the rollout of the CargoWise One integrated logistics solutions platform on a global scale, starting in May.
Currently used in more than 130 countries, CargoWise One is a transportation management system (TMS) that enables customers to perform freight forwarding, customs clearance, warehousing, shipping, tracking, land transport, e-commerce and cross-border compliance duties. All operations, Bolloré said, can be controlled through a single database accessible by multiple users.
Bolloré has been operating CargoWise One for several years in limited freight forwarding and customs applications in Australia and New Zealand, but will begin to deploy it in other regions, starting with Bolloré’s key markets in Africa. After an “initial configuration phase” this year, Bolloré said it will begin a wider deployment of CargoWise One next year.
The platform is also designed to be compatible with Bolloré’s ONE TMS IT system. “This new tool will gradually replace all of our existing TMS software,” said Thierry Ehrenbogen, CEO of Bolloré Logistics. “It will also enable communication with the solutions we currently have in place like DMP, Concerto and Link.”
CargoWise One “is designed with a global schema and aims at boosting the overall productivity through electronic integration, cost reduction, digitization and deep automation capabilities,” said Richard White, Founder and CEO of WiseTech Global.
