Senior leaders of four different cargo carriers across the Europe, Middle East and Africa region will discuss the state of the market, growth prospects, upgauge options and more in the opening session of Cargo Facts EMEA, scheduled to take place at 14:05-14:50 (UTC+2) on Wednesday, June 2.
The speakers include:
- Fitsum Abady, Managing Director, Ethiopian Cargo & Logistics Services
- Sanjeev Gadhia, Chief Executive Officer, Astral Aviation
- Geoff Kehr, SVP Global Air Fleet Management, DHL Express
- Gunnar Mar Sigurfinnsson, Managing Director, Icelandair Cargo
Cargo Facts EMEA 2021, taking place virtually June 2-3, will consist of both live and on-demand sessions.
Each of the four carriers above has grown, or will grow, with the 767 platform. Kenya-based Astral expanded its own fleet with its first widebody freighter earlier this year, while DHL ordered eight 767-300F conversions last year and will place most of those aircraft with its Bahrain-based airline.
Ethiopian plans to convert two of its own 767-300ERs in Addis Abada (ADD), while Icelandair, which currently operates two 757-200Fs, recently announced an agreement with Titan Aircraft Investments for the sale, conversion and leaseback of two 767-300ERs, with the freighters joining in 2022.
