Daniel Randig, senior vice president, air logistics at Kuehne+Nagel International AG, has joined the Cargo Facts EMEA 2022 speaker faculty for the live panel, “Air Cargo in the Gulf: The future of mega hubs and spokes,” at 9:15 a.m. (GMT +4) on Tuesday, May 10.
Cargo Facts EMEA will take place live May 9-11 in Dubai for the first time. The event will bring together industry experts, offering access to emerging airfreight technology and providing solutions to challenges affecting today’s air cargo market.
In October 2021, the freight forwarder reported that its third-quarter gross profits for air logistics were up 93% year over year to $739 million due to higher airfreight volumes. Switzerland-based Kuehne+Nagel became the world’s largest forwarder in February 2021 when it agreed to acquire Asia-based Apex Logistics. Two years prior, Apex Logistics cornered the Asia-to-North America market with its six weekly Wuhan (WUH) to Chicago (ORD) flights.
As senior vice president, Randig is head of the Air Logistics business unit and responsible for its activities within the Middle East and Africa. He has held multiple positions across the company, including vice president for transpacific air development based in Los Angeles, sales manager in Blumenau, Brazil, airfreight manager in Campinas, Brazil, and gateway director in Miami. Randig started his career in the industry in 1998 in Brazil, where he was born and raised. He has been based in Dubai since January 2021.
Randig has been instrumental in the development and implementation of several of Kuehne+Nagel’s initiatives that enhanced team members’ engagement and provided special solutions to customers.
